Heck Sausages: What’s the Story Behind the Brand?

Heck sausages!

I was delighted to discover Heck sausages — what a find! They make a fantastic base for simple, satisfying meals and work well when you’re trying to eat a bit healthier.

I’ve been focusing on cutting back on carbs, both sugar and starches, and increasing lean protein. I’m not one to eliminate entire food groups, but small adjustments have made a real difference. I already feel better and more energetic.

I’m following a slimming plan (not affiliated with any program) and these sausages fit well into it. As a guide, they score very low in syns: two sausages for 0.5 syns (a correction notes 1/2 syn each, so four sausages are 2 syns). Either way, they make a filling, low-syn option when paired with plenty of speed veg and a little gravy.

These really hit the spot — a proper dinner that doesn’t leave you feeling deprived.

I’m feeling less hungry overall and have more energy. Walking at least 10,000 steps a day has helped — I’ve kept this habit for over seven months and it keeps me focused. I even walked almost 40,000 steps over a recent weekend. I’m not a runner, but I do love walking.
