Hi, I am Sharon Vallee,
Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and how it changed my life. I hope my story encourages and motivates you to try a transformation of your own.
I’m 44 years old and live in Wakefield, RI with my husband Bob—we recently celebrated our 20th anniversary. We’re raising two teenagers, Seth and Hannah, and our three-year-old lab mix, Hans.
Six months ago I left a 15-year position to become the Payroll Administrator for the Town of South Kingstown. Working and living in the same town has been a huge benefit, giving me more time for my family and for myself. My kids are active in sports, so you’ll often find me in a gymnasium watching a wrestling match or cheering in the bleachers at softball games.
I’ve struggled with my weight for much of my life, and one of my biggest challenges was mindless overeating. I often couldn’t tell if I was eating because I was truly hungry or simply out of boredom or stress.

Almost immediately after starting the Clean Food Crush challenge, I noticed changes. For the first time in years I felt more in control of what I ate and could resist cravings. I even lost 15 pounds.
It may sound surprising, but it’s true. I still think about food, but now my focus is on planning the next delicious, healthy meal instead of “what can I eat right now.”
For the past couple of years I experienced disrupted sleep and daytime fatigue. Commuting became a concern, and a sleep specialist diagnosed me with restless leg syndrome and prescribed medication. While the medication helped somewhat, it wasn’t the full solution I hoped for.

Within the first few days of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge, my sleep started to improve, and by the end of the first week I discussed stopping the medication with my doctor and was able to discontinue it.
- I have been off the medication for three weeks without adverse effects. Some nights are still uncomfortable, but symptoms are less severe than before.
- The challenge has been positive for my whole family.
- I have more control over cravings.
- An added benefit is feeling more energized while losing 15 pounds and three inches from my waist.
My husband supports the changes, especially at dinner. He still prepares his own breakfasts and lunches but is happy to eat what I make for dinner. His encouragement has been a big part of my success—I’ve heard him say more than once, “I would eat this again.”
Some family favorites include Blackened Skirt Steak and Honey Sesame Chicken Lettuce Wraps. By keeping healthy snacks on hand, the kids naturally follow the healthier options I provide.

My advice to anyone considering the program: keep an open mind, stop making excuses, and commit to a healthy change. I wish I hadn’t waited over a year before signing up—CleanFoodCrush made the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge simple to follow and the transition painless for me and my family.
I’ve learned to transform clean ingredients and spices into delicious, healthy meals using just a few components. I also encourage patience: many people ask about substitutions or when they can reintroduce certain foods, but remember—nothing changes if nothing changes.
