This post is updated whenever a new salad kit arrives in the warehouse. The last update was April 4, 2025
I’ve tried every Costco salad kit—and I mean every single one. When a new kit shows up at the warehouse, I buy it, taste it, and evaluate how it performs. Some disappear from my fridge in a single day; others won’t make it back into my cart.
Costco salad kits are a convenient solution for busy days, delivering fresh greens, crunchy toppings, and flavorful dressings in one package. That said, not all kits are equal. Some deliver great texture and balanced flavor while others fall short. If you want to know which kits are worth buying (and which to skip), this guide will help.
Below I break down every Costco salad kit I’ve tested—what’s inside, how it tastes, and whether it earns a permanent spot in the fridge. Whether you need a quick lunch, an easy side, or a way to add more vegetables to your meals, this review covers it.

What Salad Kits Does Costco Carry?
Salad kits include greens, toppings, and dressing so you can assemble a full salad quickly. A great kit balances tender greens with crunchy elements and a dressing that complements without overwhelming. These kits remove the guesswork and make it easy to eat well.
I’ve found thirteen different salad kits at the warehouse over time; currently three are regularly available. Some were excellent, others less impressive. Here’s what’s typically in rotation.
Currently In The Warehouse
🥗 Earthbound Organic Caesar Salad Kit — One 24-ounce bag — $8.99
This kit includes romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, croutons, shredded parmesan, and herbs. It’s a classic and one of the more reliable Costco options.
🥗 Taylor Farms Organic Mediterranean Crunch Chopped Salad Kit — Two 12-ounce bags — $8.99
Contains romaine, chicory, broccoli, cauliflower, flatbread strips, red cabbage, feta, carrots, and an organic basil balsamic vinaigrette.
🥗 Taylor Farms Creamy Dill Pickle — Two 12.42-ounce bags — $7.99
This one leans toward coleslaw with cabbage and cauliflower dominant. Kale is minimal and feta is hard to notice.
Best Costco Salad Kits
Top picks are easy to name: Apple Pecan (when available) and Caesar. Both offer crowd-pleasing flavors and hold up well in the bag. Store toppings separately if you expect leftovers.
Costco Salad Kits Review
A solid salad needs three things: greens that aren’t soggy, a balanced dressing, and toppings that add texture and flavor. Using that standard, Costco kits delivered several winners and a few misses. Below are individual reviews of the kits I tested.
Costco Mediterranean Salad Kit Review

This Mediterranean-style kit resembles a house-made version, but the lettuce often overwhelms the other ingredients. The basil balsamic vinaigrette is tangy and coats well, which provides most of the flavor. It worked well in wraps but wasn’t compelling enough to repurchase consistently.
Taylor Farms Organic Mediterranean Crunch Chopped Salad Kit — One 23.92-ounce bag — $8.49
Costco Caesar Salad Kit Review
This Earthbound Caesar kit is a standout. It’s a single 24-ounce bag but sufficient as a side for 6–8 adults. The romaine has good texture and moisture, the parmesan remains pleasant, and the dressing is well-balanced for a crowd.
Tip: keep croutons separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Add rotisserie chicken to make it a complete meal.
Earthbound Organic Caesar Salad Kit — One 24-ounce bag — $8.99

Costco Kale Salad Kit Review

This Superfood Selections Sweet Kale kit felt dry and underwhelming. Despite a mix of broccoli, cabbage, kale, chicory, and Brussels sprouts, it lacked robust flavor. Dried cranberries helped, but overall it was forgettable.
Superfood Selections Sweet Kale Salad Kit — Two 14-ounce bags — $6.99
Asian Cashew Salad Kit Review
Taylor Farms Asian Cashew kit is one of the better Asian-style options. The mix of cabbages, romaine, carrots, and celery stays moist and the toppings—wonton strips, cashews, almonds, sesame seeds—add satisfying texture. The dairy-free Asian sesame dressing brings bright tang. Wontons can soften after a day, so add them as you eat if you prefer extra crunch.
Taylor Farms Asian Cashew Chopped Salad Kit — Two 12.7-ounce bags — $6.99

Costco Apple Pecan Salad Kit Review

The Apple Pecan kit is my favorite. Fresh greens combine with dried apples, pecans, feta, and a shallot vinaigrette to create a balanced mix of sweet, salty, and tangy. The feta could be a touch saltier, but that’s a minor quibble.
It works beautifully on a fall menu and keeps unopened for about 10–14 days; once dressed, consume within about three days.
Taylor Farms Apple Pecan Salad Kit — Two 11-ounce bags — $8.99
Costco Green Goddess Salad Kit Review
This plant-based option disappointed. The greens were somewhat dehydrated and the Green Goddess dressing had an odd aftertaste. The crispy lentils were an enjoyable texture, but they’re not enough to justify buying the entire kit when you can make similar lentils at home.
Taylor Farms Green Goddess Chopped Salad — Two 12.75-ounce bags — $7.99

Dill Pickle Salad Kit Review

Surprisingly bold and flavorful, the Creamy Dill Pickle kit tastes closer to a coleslaw thanks to cabbage and cauliflower. It felt a bit dry and could use more dressing, and the feta is hard to detect. The pickle seasoning, however, is unique and flavorful—best as a side or paired with grilled chicken as a main.
Taylor Farms Creamy Dill Pickle Salad Kit — Two 12.42-ounce bags — $5.99
Taylor Farms Thai Chili Mango Salad Kit Review
If you like a bit of heat and sweetness, the Thai Chili Mango kit delivers. It’s packed with cabbage, radicchio, broccoli, and mango for sweetness plus crunchy toppings. The flavors meld nicely after a little time, so it’s great for packed lunches or a meal that sits briefly before eating. Adding chickpeas or another protein helps make it more filling.
Taylor Farms Thai Chili Mango Chopped Salad Kit — Two 12.25-ounce bags — $7.99

A wedge salad kit promised much but disappointed. It includes romaine, fried onions, blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits, steakhouse seasoning, and creamy blue cheese dressing. While it includes two dressing packets (helpful), the kit was overly salty and the bacon was fatty and rubbery. Not recommended.
Taylor Farms Ultimate Everything Chopped Salad Kit Review

This kit is a crowd-pleaser and pairs especially well with chopped rotisserie chicken. It features finely chopped veggies, everything bagel seasoning, and bagel chips for crunch. The creamy dressing ties the flavors together. I would have liked a bit more cheese, but overall it’s a reliable, tasty option for quick meals.
Taylor Farms Ultimate Everything Chopped Kit — Two 12.63-ounce bags — $7.99
Creamy Italian Salad Kit
This kit was sold out before I could test it. If it returns to the warehouse, I’ll buy and review it.
Taylor Farms Creamy Italian Salad — Two 11-ounce bags — $6.99

Taylor Farms Chipotle Ranch Chopped Kit

This Chipotle Ranch kit is crunchy, fresh, and broadly appealing—even people who don’t usually like salad enjoyed it. The smoky, not-too-spicy dressing coats the mix well and the tortilla chips add welcome texture. The two bags were gone quickly.
Taylor Farms Chipotle Ranch Chopped Salad Kit — Two 11.75-ounce bags — $7.99
Mexican Street Corn Salad Kit Review
This new flavor was a win. It balances corn flavor with crunchy elements and a slightly spicy dressing. Cornbread crumbles are listed but not noticeable; the dressing provides a pleasant heat. It’s easy to turn into a full meal by adding shrimp or chicken.
Taylor Farms Mexican Street Corn Chopped Salad Kit — Two 11.62-ounce bags — $7.99

How Long Do Salad Kits Last In The Fridge?
Package dates typically expire about one to two weeks after purchase. Unopened kits can stay fresh for several days; once opened, consume within one to three days for best texture and flavor.
To extend freshness:
- Add a folded paper towel to open packages to absorb excess moisture.
- Store toppings separately when possible.
- Use airtight containers and fill them to reduce air exposure.
Are Costco Salad Kits Healthy?
Salad kits are an easy way to eat more vegetables, but toppings and dressings can add sugar, saturated fat, and calories. Dried fruit and buttery croutons contribute sugar and fat, so omit or reduce these if you’re watching intake. Check labels and remove toppings you don’t need to make the kit healthier.
How Many People Does The Costco Salad Kit Feed?
A dinner serving is generally about two cups of salad per person (two baseball-sized portions). Based on package sizes, most two-bag kits serve roughly three main-course portions or 7–9 side-salad portions. The table below estimates servings by kit size.
| Salad | Size | # of Main Course Servings | # of Side Salad Servings |
| Earthbound Organic Caesar Salad Kit | 24 ounces | 3 | 8 |
