Where do I even start with this cake? Let’s begin with the name. Some call it “Better Than Sex Cake,” others prefer “Almost Better Than Sex Cake” or “Better Than Anything Cake.” Pick the name that fits for you. What matters is that it’s sinfully delicious, drizzled with caramel, and comes together quickly.

The first time I encountered this cake was while browsing a MySpace recipe group years ago. The name grabbed my attention and led me straight to the kitchen. Since that first attempt, this cake has become one of our go-to desserts. It’s rich, easy to make, and hard to resist.

There are many variations of this dessert online, but the version below is the simple classic we love. It uses a boxed Devil’s food cake mix, Cool Whip, sweetened condensed milk, caramel topping, and crushed Heath bar pieces (toffee and chocolate). The combination of moist chocolate cake, sweet caramel, and crunchy toffee creates an indulgent dessert that’s tough to stop eating.

Enjoy!
